ANNOUNCING NEW MISS WISCONSIN'S OUTSTANDING TEEN IN-KIND SCHOLARSHIP

The Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen Pageant is excited to announce a new partnership with St. Norbert College - one of the top-ranked liberal arts colleges, located in De Pere, Wisconsin, just outside of Green Bay. They are awarding our new Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen and her court the following scholarships.

Miss Wisconsin's OT, 2014 (over four years) - $36,000
1st Runner-up (over four years) - $ 22,000
2nd Runner-up (over four years) - $22,000
3rd Runner-up (over four years) - $22,000
4th Runner-up (over four years) - $22,000

Eligibility
To claim the scholarship, the recipient must be admitted and enrolled at St. Norbert College as a first-year, degree-seeking student. This scholarship may replace other St. Norbert scholarships the recipient may qualify for.

Wisconsin Representative is Vying for the Title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen

A remarkable mix of honor students, debate champions, singers, dancers, cheerleaders, thespians, athletes, musicians and writers to compete for this coveted title and $300,000 in scholarship assistance.

Orlando, FL – July 30, 2012 – Madeline Morgan, 16, of Oregon, WI will be among fifty-three of the
country's most talented, bright and beautiful young women, ages 13 to 17, in Orlando, FL to compete in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen (MAOTeen) competition, the “little sister” to Miss America. The competition will take place August 14-18, 2012 at the Linda Chapin Theater inside the Orange County Convention Center.

Promoting scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community
involvement for America's teens, the MAOTeen contestants will be judged on personal interview,
talent, evening wear, lifestyle & fitness in active wear, and on-stage question.

Morgan, a junior at Oregon High School, is an honor student and serves as a People to People student ambassador. She is raising awareness on the dangers of distracted driving as a platform issue throughout her year of service as Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen. Morgan will be playing piano for the talent portion of the MAOTeen competition.

The contestants will be in Orlando from Saturday, August 11th through Saturday, August 18th for
rehearsals and activities surrounding the pageant. They will visit Planet Hollywood on Sunday, August 12th and Medieval Times on Monday, August 13th. They will also participate in events such as the star-studded Evening of Stars Extravaganza, which will be held at the Rosen Centre Hotel, and will have several opportunities to train with professionals in the pageant and entertainment fields.

MADELINE MORGAN NAMED MISS WISCONSIN’S OUTSTANDING TEEN 2012

Winner Advances to National Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Competition

Oshkosh, Wis., June 20, 2012 — The Miss Wisconsin Organization announces on Friday, June 15, 2012, Madeline Morgan, age 16 from Oregon, Wis., won the title of Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen 2012 at the Alberta Kimball Auditorium at Oshkosh West High School, Oshkosh, Wis. Representing the Miss West Allis’ Outstanding Teen program, Morgan won a $1000 cash scholarship along with other prizes and gifts, and will go on to compete at the 2013 Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageant held in Orlando in August. Morgan is a student at Oregon High School. For the talent competition, Morgan performed a piano piece to “She Sings.”

“We look forward to working with Madeline and having her represent Wisconsin this year. It will be exciting to see all she’ll accomplish and also watch her compete to become Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2013,” said Brenda Baudo, Executive Director Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen program. “As a sister program to Miss Wisconsin, Madeline will have many opportunities to travel the state, meet with people and promote her platform along with Children’s Miracle Hospital Network.”

Like her predecessor, Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen 2011, Annie Jorgensen, from Mequon, Wis., Morgan will promote the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals during her year as well as promote her personal platform of “100% Drive” - The Dangers of Distracted Driving. Morgan was one of 13 young ladies representing areas from across the State in Friday’s program. Special guest performers included Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler, from Kenosha, Wis., Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2012 Elizabeth Fechtel, and Miss Wisconsin 2011 Raeanna Johnson from Holmen, Wis. The Princess Program featured 21 girls ages 5-12 in a special dance performance.

A number of other contestants received awards during the competition, including:

The court of honor:

  • 1st Runner-up: Miss Kewaunee's Outstanding Teen, Paige Kassner from Kewaunee, Wis.
  • 2nd Runner-up: Miss Richfield's Outstanding Teen, Hannah Mrozak from Richfield, Wis.
  • 3rd Runner-up: Miss Southern Lakes' Outstanding Teen, Elise O'Connell from Bristol, Wis.

Additional award winners included:

  • Outstanding Teen Spirit Award - Miss Milwaukee's Outstanding Teen, Marlaina Perelshtein from Grafton, Wis.
  • Community Service Award - Miss Kewaunee's Outstanding Teen, Paige Kassner from Kewaunee, Wis.
  • Photogenic Award – Miss Green Bay's Outstanding Teen, Lauren McLester-Davis from De Pere, Wis.
