About Miss Wisconsin’s Princess Program
There is a princess in every little girl! Every “Miss America” has to start somewhere and the Princess Program is the place to begin. The Princess Program is the “little sister” to Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen Pageant. It provides a mentoring atmosphere where young teens from all over the state become role models who can make a difference in your daughter’s life today. The program offers young girls between the ages of 5-12 the fun opportunity to perform onstage before a live audience, dress up as your princess and have an official princess state crown placed on her head during a “crowning ceremony.”
The Princess Program is held in conjunction with Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen Pageant and the Miss Wisconsin Pageant held in June at the Alberta Kimball Auditorium in Oshkosh, WI. The day will begin when each princess arrives at the auditorium with her parents to check in and attend a pizza and cupcake lunch, also attended by our Outstanding Teen contestants.
Each Princess Program participant will participate in a “crowning ceremony” during lunch. They will be introduced on stage in their party dresses during the Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen Pageant that evening and also featured in a production number they perform at both Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen Pageant and the Miss Wisconsin Pageant the following evening.
This is not a competition. It is a fun experience for the girls and a unique opportunity for personal growth and confidence building. Our Princess Program has experienced a high rate of returning girls year after year, a testament to what a great experience it has been for our participants.
