Evelyn Green began her journey in the Miss America organization when she was 14 years old. She started her journey by competing at Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen as Miss Foot of Lake’s Outstanding Teen 2020 & 2021. Due to the pandemic, all titleholders were granted a second year. She earned the title of Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen 2022 as Miss Oshkosh’s Outstanding Teen 2022. She is the first Miss Oshkosh’s Outstanding Teen to be awarded the state title of Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen.
Currently, Evelyn attends Oshkosh West High School as a senior. She plans to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. Thanks to the Miss America Organization, she has been able to earn scholarship dollars for college. Evelyn has earned over $4,000 in scholarships to help her achieve her academic goals.
Since birth, she has had the privilege to get to know many individuals with disabilities through her mom’s work and have appreciated every minute of it. She has expanded that interest into volunteer experiences in the community and at school. These opportunities inspired her Social Impact Initiative- “You’re Invited: Celebrating Different Abilities Through Inclusion”. Evelyn has had the opportunity to write a book about the importance of inclusion and raise over $2,000 to go towards adaptive equipment for an organization in her hometown. One of her goals is to partner with Special Olympics of Wisconsin and create her own Girl Scout patch about inclusion.
Thanks to the Miss America Organization she is now confident, well spoken, and ready to serve the Wisconsin community.
